Toronto Raptors

After a 16-win jump to 46-36 and a return to the NBA postseason, the Toronto Raptors enter the 2026-27 campaign looking ready to climb even higher in the Eastern Conference.

Scottie Barnes remains at the centre of Toronto’s resurgence. The 24- year-old led the franchise back to the playoffs for the first time since his 2021-22 NBA Rookie of the Year season, continuing his rise into NBA stardom. A two-time all-star, Barnes drove Toronto’s identity on the floor with his leadership, versatility and defensive intensity.

“I felt like we went out there every single game and just got better,” Barnes said after Toronto pushed Cleveland to seven games in the playoffs. “We found out more about ourselves… we worked really hard and didn’t leave anything on the table.”

Mississauga native RJ Barrett continued establishing himself as a key piece of Toronto’s future. The former third overall pick brought consistent offence, physicality and confidence to the wing. While elevating his profile with several clutch playoff performances – including one of the biggest shots in franchise history to force Game 7 against Cleveland.

Toronto’s acquisition of Brandon Ingram added another proven all-star scorer to the lineup. Ingram averaged a team-high 21.5 points per game and formed a dynamic trio alongside Barnes and Barrett.

In the backcourt, Immanuel Quickley continued pushing the pace while providing shot creation and stability.

One of the NBA’s youngest rosters, the Raptors combined playoff experience with a fifth-best defensive rating of 112.1 last season. Now, the team enters 2026-27 aiming to take another major bite out of the NBA’s elite.
