Toronto Blue Jays

2024 OFFICIAL PROGRAM – PLAYBALL!

The Blue Jays qualified for the post-season for the second consecutive year in 2023.  This off-season will be busy on a number of fronts as Rogers Centre enters the second year of a 300-million dollar renovation.  GM Ross Atkins has his own renovating to do, with some key pieces from 2023 leaving through free agency.

The starting rotation, which finished 4th in Major League Baseball with a 3.78 ERA, was a major strength last season and is led by CY Young Award nominee Kevin Gausman.  Joining Gausman in what will be a formidable – if not one of the best–starting rotations is Chris Bassitt (16 wins and 200 IP), Jose Berrios (184 K’s) and Yusei Kikuchi (11 wins).  Add to the mix Alek Manoah, who looks to recapture the magic that helped him finish 3rd in Cy Young voting in 2022.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr and Bo Bichette will continue to lead the team at the plate and in the field as they aspire to take their games to new heights in 2024.

The Toronto Blue Jays are in the midst of demolishing the 100-level seating bowl.  New, more comfortable seats will be installed from foul pole to foul pole, oriented toward the playing field for vantage points that are specific to baseball.

“Our goal from the onset of renovations was to transform Rogers Centre from a stadium to a ballpark,” said team president Mark Shapiro. “By completely rebuilding the 100 level seating bowl, we are introducing an authentic ballpark viewing experience, with sightlines designed specifically for fans to enjoy Blue Jays baseball.”

Ross Atkins and his team are determined to take the next step in 2024, as the team aims to qualify for the post-season for a 3rd consecutive year.  The GM will be busy tweaking his roster to give the players the best opportunity to bring the World Series trophy back to Canada!
